"It pains me, but one of the places where we have lost our identity is the beaches of Goa... If you go to a shack and have to go through Italian, French, Thai, Chinese cuisine... before you come to a fish curry rice, and that too the person preparing it comes from Kerala, the waiter ends up being from Karnataka. It's not Goa anymore. That is scary. The government when handing out shack licences should insist that 65 per cent of the menu should be Goa."
